4-DAY INTENSIVE PRO CLASS BOOTCAMP | Sept. 26-29

In this intimate 4-day workshop, up to 6 students will explore the painting process of J Louis from concept to creation.  J will share with you his method for capturing exceptional reference imagery in a live model photo shoot and help you elevate your work with luscious color, texture, and design.  For the first time, you will have unprecedented access to J's process in his private NYC studio.

Whether you are a passionate painting enthusiast or professional artist, J Louis will help you push your boundaries in figurative art.   This intensive Pro Class will focus on constructing a gallery quality work from concept to completion. You will be guided through a live model photography session, compositional and art theory discussion, material application demonstration, the completion of your own finished art piece and more. The Pro Class BOOTCAMP will conclude with a discussion on efficient studio management, marketing, business practices and live auction of J Louis’ demonstration painting. This BOOTCAMP is for artist who wish to completely immerse themselves in J Louis intense personal workflow.

Space is extremely limited and is expected to fill quickly. The BOOTCAMP is limited to 6 students of all skill levels.

BOOTCAMP Schedule

Thursday, September 26th - 10AM - 11PM - Introduction and overview of workshop. Students are guided through a full production photoshoot, concepting session and computer aided design demonstration.

Friday, September 27th - 10AM - 11PM - J demonstrates archival panel preparation and various painting techniques.

Saturday, September 28th - 10AM - 11PM - Students begin painting with J’s instructions.

Sunday, September 29th - 10AM - 11PM - Students finish their painting and the workshop is concluded with a discussion on professional practices and branding.

- This BOOTCAMP is held at J Louis' private NYC studio. Location and other information sent after sign up.

- The class will run from 10am-11pm on Sept. 26-29.

- All art-making materials will be provided by the artist.  Please bring a sketchbook to take notes, camera, and laptop.
